From Jollyville Fire Chief Landi: Another Extreme Wildfire Danger Today & Tomorrow
Yes, we did get some rain this morning but it will be followed by high winds (up to 30 MPH with 45 MPH gusts) and very low humidity levels (single digits). This means that any type of fire that starts will be extremely tough to put out. Wildland fires will spread rapidly and structure fires can extend to multiple other buildings or entire areas.
The Texas Forest Service has set the fire danger as Extreme/5 out of 5 so PLEASE hold off on any type of outdoor cooking or working with any type of tools that may produce sparks or high temperature equipment. https://www.kxan.com/weather/forecast/todays-forecast
