The Doreen L. Scholtes Scholarship Award is available to a student graduating from public, private, or home high schools and is to be used to help with expenses of college, university, technical or trade schools.
Students currently enrolled are also eligible to apply. Students are a valuable part of the community who should be taught to value public participation in their communities and neighborhoods and to value volunteer service.
NASWC supports this goal and has committed to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a neighborhood student to promote good community leadership in the future by rewarding promising young community leaders today; and, to nurture participation in the volunteer work that improves our community.
